SURVIVAL SWIMMING LESSONS
ISR St. Louis - Christie Cloutman, provides your child the competence,
confidence and skills of aquatic safety with ISR's Self-Rescue program.
ISR is the safest provider of survival swimming lessons for
children 6 months to 6 years of age.
SAFER SWIMMERS, SOONER.
THE
FLOATER
Lessons for children 6-12 months focus on teaching the child to roll onto their back to float, rest & breathe and to be able to maintain this life-saving position until help arrives. This is the most important component to ISR swimming lessons. Teaching a child to find their float from various positions equips them with the life-saving skill to Self-Rescue.
THE SWIMMER
Lessons for children 1-6 years focus on teaching the swim-float-swim survival sequence. Children learn to swim a short distance, roll onto their back to float & rest and roll back over to resume swimming. This Swim-Float-Swim can be repeated until they reach the edge of the pool or steps where they can climb out. If they can not attain the edge or steps, they are able to float & rest.
THE REFRESHER
Refresher lessons are extremely important in continuing and maintaining your child's ISR Self-Rescue skills. Children grow and develop rapidly from infancy through young childhood. This development process represents improved strength, coordination and a more finely tuned cognitive ability. In accordance with this growth, children enrolled in ISR return periodically to participate in Refresher Lessons.
